Material and build
The plastic is BPA-free, which addresses one chemical worry and not the physical one. Every cut removes a sliver of the surface, and that sliver goes somewhere.
The colour system is genuinely well executed, with food icons moulded into each board so nobody has to remember which colour is fish.
First week with it
Out of the box the boards are light and pleasant to use, and the caddy keeps them upright and drying.
Within a fortnight of real use the red board had a visible mat of knife scars. That is normal for plastic, and it is the beginning of the problem.
Where it fits in a real kitchen
For a household that is currently using one board for everything, this is a real safety upgrade in habit terms.
For a household that already separates raw and ready-to-eat food, it mostly adds four things to store.
