Handsome bamboo in three sizes — and three surfaces that drink up raw-meat juice.
TL;DR
Beautiful, knife-friendly, and the wrong tool for raw protein. Keep it for bread and cheese and stop putting chicken on it.
Buy it if
- Bread, cheese, fruit and dry produce
- Serving and charcuterie
- Cooks who want three sizes for very little money
Skip it if
- Raw meat, poultry or fish
- Anyone who will not hand-wash and oil regularly

Material and build
Bamboo is hard, dense and kind to knife edges, which is why it stays popular. It is also fibrous, and fibres wick liquid.
That wicking is the whole issue. What goes into the grain does not fully come back out with soap and a sponge.
First week with it
The set arrives sanded smooth and looks lovely on a counter. The medium board became my default for onions and herbs immediately.
The first time I used the large board for raw chicken I spent longer disinfecting it than I did cooking, and I still did not trust it.
Where it fits in a real kitchen
Cheese, bread, tomatoes, herbs: excellent, and the reversible faces are practical.
Anything raw and wet: use something non-porous instead.
What the evidence says
Amazon listing data at the time of checking: 4.2 average from 10,687 ratings — by far the largest review base here, and the lowest average.
Food-safety guidance consistently treats scored and absorbent surfaces as harder to sanitise than smooth non-porous ones.
Care and durability
Hand wash only, dry standing on edge, and oil with a food-safe mineral oil every few weeks.
Skip the oiling and the boards will eventually check and split along the glue lines.
Price and guarantee
Listed at $19.99 against a $39.99 list price at the time of checking.
Cheap to buy, but it carries a maintenance cost in time and a hard limit on what you should cut on it.
